The Den on Laurel Street will be hosting a kintsugi presentation by two of Clay Artists of San Diego members, Hiromi Minemura and Kaito Kikuchi.

The ancient art of kintsugi is a technique of fixing broken ceramics using urushi lacquer and gold powder. By making the repair visible rather than hiding it, kintsugi embraces imperfection, impermanence and simplicity. At this workshop, a step by step process involved in kintsugi repair will be discussed. You will see in-process and finished pieces that they have repaired.
